"Teaching Kids the News" sounds innocuous enough.
The segment on the 2011 Elections (see link above) teaches children how the different parties think, but lo and behold, we learn that
People on the “right” believe they can help the country best by strengthening its businesses. People on the left believe in helping individuals and families first. And people in the centre believe in a bit of both.
[...]And of course the party in the middle, the Liberals, believe there should be a balance between supporting individuals and supporting businesses.Eh? leftwingers support the individual? As a commentor at BCF says, the left supports individuals as much as the borg does.
And since when do the Liberal Party define the "middle"? The centre of Canadian politics has shifted firmly to the Right in recent years.
