horrible news from Brazil, of all places. 11 people killed, mostly children, in a shooting by a former student who - get this - "In recent months ... appeared to have got closer to Islam".
Well, you don't get much closer to Islam than murderous shooting sprees.
But don't worry, say Brazilian police, there's "no concrete evidence that the attack had either a religious or a political motive."

Thanks to Mark Steyn's helpful translation a month or so back, we now know that when a man firing an AK47 shouts "Allāhu Akbar", it is merely the Arabic for "Move along, nothing to see here".
